Initial design consultation
The designer will come to your home to discuss your vision for your garden; this is an opportunity for us to look at pictures that may have caught your imagination and to discuss the areas you would like to incorporate into the design. The meeting also gives you the opportunity to view our portfolio of previous projects and find out more about our design process and the services we offer.
Fee proposal
Based on the information gained from the initial consultation, a fee proposal will be sent to you outlining the cost and agreed scope of the design and/or
planting plan.
It is useful to have some idea of your overall budget prior to your initial meeting. Design fees competitively start from as little as £425 inc.Vat.
To completely clear and build a small garden you are normally looking to spend a minimum of £8,500 inc.Vat.
Second client meeting
Once you have engaged our services, we will meet with you again to establish a more precise brief. The brief will be confirmed in writing prior to commencement of the concept drawing stage.
Site survey
During the site survey we collect all the information we need to create your design, such as boundaries, items to be retained, level changes and other major factors such as the positions of windows and doors and the less obvious, but important points, like access covers and visible services. We also take a note of the surrounding area and the impact that it may have on your garden.
Concept drawings
Following the site survey, the design process continues with the creation of design concepts for your feedback during a further meeting. This process provides you with the opportunity to see a variety of ideas on paper to create your final design. If you provided your budget, an estimate of the cost of work will be provided to help you make your decision.
Design Presentation plan
Once a concept has been agreed, your designer will then create the final design. This plan will show all the details of your garden including both soft and hard landscaping and will include recommendations for hard landscaping materials and any agreed features.
Landscape specification
The Landscape Specification lists every detail of the garden landscaping requirements, such as a full specification of hard landscaping materials, construction methods and details. It allows the contractor to quote accurately for the job, as they are working to a precise specification.
Optional additional design services available:
Planting plan
We offer planting plans with or without an accompanying garden design. A planting plan can be for just one bed or border or a whole garden.
The planting brings a garden to life, and can transform your garden without the need for additional hard landscaping. A well thought out
scheme will ensure interest all year round, not only visually but also through scent and touch.
We source the plants from specialist nurseries and centres to ensure quality and offer a full planting service.
After care advice
We can provide information to help you to look after and maintain your new garden.
Project Management
If you commission Lanwarne Landscapes to carry out the construction of your design we will supervise and oversee the entire process. However if you decide to carry out the garden landscaping with an alternative contractor, we can if required project manage the implementation of the design. This allows you to relax, confident in the knowledge that any queries regarding the garden design or implementation will be quickly resolved and that all of your expectations will be met.
